this is a very strange situation, sorry, but I really can't figure out what this girl is doing. Perhaps she just likes that you liker her and that makes her feel special. Perhaps not. Maybe she just felt awkward when you told her your feelings and just didnt want to commit to anything at that moment. If she;s sending you these types of signals, ask her out. whats the worst that could happen? she may reiterate that she just wants to be friends, then things are just back to square one. She may admire your being upfront with it, maybe not, I have no idea.
