I want my ex back, but she is far away

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
I dated her for over a year. she was goign to go to school in another state, but before she left she had to go to Korea for a month when she got back she broke up with me and then she went to college. We talked alot for the first couple of weeks when she was in Korea, but then she started to avoid long conversations. (I think i tried to call her to much when she was there). Now she is in another state goign to school and i still love her a lot. I tried giving her some time, but tehn i caved after 2 weeks or so, so i texted her tellign her that i miss her. she told me that this messages make her feel guilty that she is happy and i am not. It has been a month and a half and i dont know what to do. when we talk on th ephone i am always sad, she tells me to be strong and to get over it. one time i told her that if she wants she would never hear from me again. she told me that she wants to talk as friends. Please any advise will be welcome. if you had an experience similar to mine let me know how it worked out. THANK YOU

Yes, I have been in your situation. The answer is to be friends with her and if you still love her then tough it out. The pain will mostly go away after a while and you can console yourself with the thought that she is happy. You can also hope she will change her mind.

Eventually, an attractive someone else will find you, nature will take its course aand you will fall in love again.

Good luck! George
