How do I get close to this girl?

Hi, there's a girl for who I have a crush but I don't know how to approach her.
I know she knows who I am because me, and the group of friends with whom I hang out are somehow well known in our town.
Once, in a diner where we both were, I was really drunk and tried to talk to her, but I was really boring and I don't even know if she remembers that. She almost ignored me because I was really drunk at that time.
I would really like to date her or have something with her, what can I do to approach her?
What do I do if she remembers how boring I was in the first and only time we talked to each other?
