Paranoid about a girl

I've liked this girl for the last 3 years. We've talked before and we get along well, but we don't talk a lot. I think she might like me, but I can't tell if she's giving me signals or if I'm being paranoid. It doesn't help that I'm usually a quiet kid either. She's currently going out with someone. My problem is I've heard sometimes people will go out with someone just to make the person they really like jealous. How do I know if she really likes him? I think they used to go out before now, so they could easily be faking it, or that could be me being paranoid again...

I think you are right that you are making something out of nothing... or paranoid as you call it. It is very, very unlikely that she is going out with another boy just to get your attention. Find yourself a girl without a boyfriend and try to become friends with her. See what develops.
