Significant other loves another woman

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
How can i make my family whole again?
He left coz we had just slowly grew apart since our 1yr old was born, before that, we had a great, loving fullfilling reletionship.
we started our break in nov 04 and in march o5 in the first week he said he didnt want to lose me, lets try, organize counselling all of that, week 2 of march, we found out we were expecting our second baby,,,, but week 3 i had to go away for a night to work, (a one off- other than that i dont wrk)so the day before we go out to lunch and run into his high school sweet heart who now has a 8mth old of her own. i get back and he says he's falling back in love with her. destored!
they have been together for 2weeks now and he says he loves her and they plan to move intogether in a couple of mths, yet im at home rasing our son and being pregant. i want my family back, i want him to be happy also, but i always thought that would be with me,,,,
we werent married but referred to each other as husband and wife, had the honeymoon and rings on, but no wedding, and this june/ july would be our second year anvierery. baby due in nov 05...

what can i do to make him see that he really doesnt love his high school sweet heart, that it's just that nice early days and that i would do anything for him to come back and make our family complte and have our loving reletionship back,
i have already tryed saying how i feel, didnt work, he said he loved his new girl and wanted to make that work, so now im just being nice and good mates with him, hoping that soon i will be able to love him again openly.

RomanceClass.com Advice
You are doing the best you can do right now. Stay friends and hope for the best.

Other things come to mind... cook him his favorite meal, always dress nicely when he visits, be there for him when he needs to talk, and generally remind him of the good times you had together.

Maybe this won't work out with the new girlfriend and your problems will be solved. For your sake, I hope so!

Good luck,
George
