i think i want to give this a shot, but at the same time i don't want to ruin our friendship. what should i do?

i just found out that one of my male friends has a crush on me. we are both single and i think he's a great guy, except he used to hook up with my sister. she says she's completly fine with us hanging out. in fact she wants us to get together, she said what they had was a meaningless fling. there's one more thing, i hook up with one of his friends from time to time. it's nothing serious he has a girlfriend but there on and off all the time so, i know i could never take this guy that i hook up with seriously. although we have been hooking up for more than a year. but now i'm looking for something serious.the guy that i hook up with and the guy that has the crush are not like best friends or anything the guy that has the crush is best friends with the brother of the guy that i hook up with. i think i want to give this a shot, but at the same time i don't want to ruin our friendship. what should i do?

It may work out and be the best romance you've ever had. Or it may fizzle out and be nothing. But you will never know if you don't try.
Don't worry about messing up a friendship. You are all mature enough to handle the complications that life throws at us.
