Me(16) and my boyfriend(17) have been together off and on since I was 12
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Me(16) and my boyfriend(17) have been together off and on since I was 12.. We were both each others first love. he took my virginity and I took his. we fellin love.. then a couple years later her started getting jealous about little things like wearing a tank top outside. Or hangin out with my friends. We split up all the time then he comes crying back..and I keep telling him he needs to make up his mind. cuz i do care about him and I love him withall i have. Last night He was at myhouse and the other day I told him about how this boy took my planner at school and wrote his number in it.. well today he slit his rist and it started gushing.. I Wrapped him all up to stop the bleeding and I wanted him to go the hospital but he wouldnt Now I know his dad wil think its all my fault and hes having a lot of problems right nowin his life and his parents justsplit up Idk what to do I love him But I cant be around someone that doesnt trust me and is constantly mad about something Ive tried sittin down and talking to him that only makes things worse. I love him with all I have and I wanna help him but My words just make it worse what do I do?
Most importantly, do not ignore his suicidal tendencies. If his parents havent' done anything yet then you must call 1-800-SUICIDE and get them in the process.
Since your boyfriend is in such emotional turmoil, you can't do much to make him think differently. But, keep trying to assure him that you love him alone and that you are faithful to him. Tell him you are doing this on purpose to make him feel better. Otherwise he might suspect your motives.
Finally, enourage him to seek professional counseling.
