I asked this girl to the Homecoming Dance
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male I asked this girl to the Homecoming Dance. Actually, I was too shy, so I had one of my other friends ask her for me. She said, "I don't know. I'll think about it." I waited a few more days, but she didn't say anything to me, so I called her personally and asked her if she wanted to go with me, and she said, "I don't know." I asked her if she wanted to think about it and she said, "Sure." She never said anything to me again, and I went to the dance by myself. Did I do something wrong? Am I supposed to take this as a "No?" Is she just really shy? What shoud I say to her?
RomanceClass.com Advice She may have been too shy to say yes. Or perhaps her parents don't allow her to date and she was too shy to say that. Or maybe she doesn't know how to dance.
You may never know what the situation with her was, but you did the right thing by asking her personally. It took courage to do that and be sure to continue doing that in the future. Don't give up just because things didn't work out with this one girl.
I wish you luck! George
