We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love. --Mother Teresa

How should I approach this situation.

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
Thanks so much for this.

So there's this girl that I became friends with this fall through being in a school production (im in college btw). We're both pretty much huge sci-fi nerds, and she's drop dead gorgeous. I kind of had a crush on her the whole time we were doing the show, and we flirted quite a bit (although the show was Rocky Horror). I would tell her things like how the outfit she was wearing was pretty and such.

After the show was over I spent the rest of the semester trying to get to know her better. In that time we ended up running into each other at a few parties and such. She told me in a game of "never have i ever", that she had never dated anyone (i was sitting in her lap at the time). And I also learned from a mutual friend that she is "happy being alone right now".

Although, right before we were let out for our outrageously long winter break I think I scored some coolness points in her book. You see she really wanted to get into this one class, and she knew that it would be filled before her time to register. We're the same major and I'm a year ahead, so I have an earlier registration slot. So I offered to hold a spot for her in the class by registering and then dropping the class later. She seemed REALLY appreciative of the gesture.

Since were on break I wont see her for a couple weeks, I'm wondering what I should be do next?

RomanceClass.com Advice
I would continue to be a good friend. Be available to talk to and share fun times with. Plan some sci-fi film marathons, with popcorn, pizza, soda, or whatever you both like. It is probably worth your while to ask her if she would like to continue to be friends or to maybe try dating. If she has not dated before, she might be nervous about it. Or, she could simply be waiting for you to ask her.

If she is not ready to date anyone, do not push her. It sounds like you have a nice friendship already, and that is worth a lot right there.
