Does this mean that she just doesnt want to be with me?

Original Visitor's Question from a 13-20 year old Male
My girlfriend of 2 years just broke up with me a couple days ago. The reason was because "she is doing it for herself" and she said she "Doesnt want to be with anyone right now for a while and she has to much on her plate at the moment." Does this mean that she just doesnt want to be with me? Or when women say this is this a kind of defense mechanism so they can avoid hurting us guys? I can't put into words my feelings towards her, she is everything to me. Although I am still young (19) and she is (18) we honestly believed that we would one day prove our love together. We had broken up once before because we needed space. And now this time she is the only one who needs it. She just started driving and she just turned 18 and is finishing school so I'm thinking these things could have some effect on her being so overwhelmed and maybe I should give her time. However with the way she worded the breakup I'm not completely convinced it is over. Should I give her some time and confront her about it? Or just wait for her to come to me? I'm still in love with her and have the best intentions in mind. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
