Original Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
OK so here is how it works since i was a fresh man in highschool(Graduated in may) i have been in love with a girl and she loved me her parents would not allow her to date. My junior year she was going to go out with me but i did not think i could have a good relationship with her because at that time i was just wanting sex, i have changed greatly now. The last year i was in school she rebeled against her parents so she told me she did not want to be with me because she is so attached to me and she does not want a long term relationship right now. Well she has been with a ton of guys since then and i have been trying to do everything i can to prove to her i will love her truely. We both have used each other to help out with all of our problems and i dont want to hurt her but i want to be with her and i really want to ask her to marry me and i am just scared and dont know if she will or not and i do not want to be turned down by her and loose her forever. She is the only person i have ever trusted and she knows i love her and i just want to protect her and make her happy. How do i prove to her that i will never hurt her and i really love her?

Try dating

you might want to try dating for awhile to before just asking her to marry you. I don't know why they say just ask her to marry you right away, that's kinda bad advice, you should relax and not worry about proving that you love her, but try showing it to her. Rather than playing the love angle, try going wtih the "being really good friends" but move it to more romantic settings. so- if you've been spending a lot of time together, just ask her to go out to dinner- take it easy- show her the traits that will make you a good boyfriend, the ones that show her you wont hurt her, and just mainly, make sure you're available to her- then drop some hints every now and again.
