Original Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Female
Thank you for taking the time to help with my situation. I was dating my Bf for almost 4 years. Right in the beginning I went away from college but we made things work. He broke up with me because we started fighting two years after we were dating. He randomly hooked up with another girl and regretted it. We got back together and then 6 months later we broke up again. This time the break up lasted a week and the first time he saw me we started talking again. From that point until around 2 1/2 months ago we were great. Then he told me that he is 22 and only dated me and was getting scared. We decided to see other ppl to see if we were meant to be...he did and after a month of not being together, and two weeks of him seeing another girl he came back to me. He told me no one will ever be me. Since then, we had a few big fights and he has told me again that he doesnt know if he sees me in his future. I wrote him an email telling him that i basically give up and can not be this emotionally insecure anymore. I still do see him around, but i cant help but be jealous. It has been a few days and we havent contacted each other. Is it worth me trying to still get him back? How long should I wait this out? Is he even worth waiting for?

Similar story

I had a similar story with my ex, but we ended mainly because of children, I have no kids, my ex has 2 adult daughters, he ended up saying he couldn't give me a love the way I want. At the end, I said I would give up having kids,he still said goodbye. For your story, I think give you both some space to think about it. Better no calls,no msgs,no physical connection. If it is a true love, I am sure you two will be together. I am still waiting for him meanwhile I am ready to move on as there is no point to keep waiting without any return. Also, waited for 4years, how many 4 years you can waiting? Only time can tell. Let it go if it is meant to be. Good luck for both of us.
