Jealousy
The holidays are coming up, and they can be a time that old jealousies get brought to life again. You're seeing family, old friends, you're often being reminded that someone is better looking than you, that they make more money, that they seem to have more success.
The key to remember is that we are all unique humans - no one person is the most beautiful AND the richest AND the smartest AND the most serene. Celebrate your own traits! There's no reason for you to have to be "better" than someone else - there will always be someone else to take the crown.
If you have someone in your life who enjoys making you feel badly because of the way you are, maybe it's time to gently remove them from your world. Life is short enough without people in it actively trying to hurt you. If you are stuck with this person, find ways to buffer the things they say. We've got tips!
