Visitor's Question:
My problem is that I have always been pretty reluctant to let anyone get to close to me- that was until I went on vacation this summer. 1500 miles away from my home, I met a wonderful guy. Where I am from, every guy seems to be stuck up and just looking for one thing, but this guy just seemed, and is, so different. We have talked almost every day since, and now it is 9 months later. (Sometimes for even 3 hours)
He just left after our first real visit, staying at my dorm room for about a week. It was an amazing time. After dropping him off at the airport, I cried for the rest of the day and much of the next. I realized that I really do love him.
I am planning on visiting him again in two months, and he will come back up to see me two months after that, but I wish I could see him everyday. Problem is, after he visits, he is going to boot camp, and will be in the services for five years.
I feel so confused. He seems like that man of my dreams, but we are only 18 and I don't know if thats too young. He is from the country, and I am from the city. I want to be with him so much. No one has ever given me the respect that he gives to me. I dont want to go out with anyone else, I just want him. But, is it worth everything to wait?

Our Suggestion:
It will be worth the wait if everything goes the way you want it to.

Over a five year period (or less if you want to get together before he is out of the service) anything can happen ... for good or for bad.

The best you can do is to ask yourself once a month: "Is this still working out?" Let your heart and thoughts be your guide.

Good luck! George
