Visitor's Question:
I recently moved to a new state back in november and didn't know anyone.. while on my new job, i met a girl who moved back home after 6 years in december. i met her in febuary and decided to ask her out.. naturally she said yes... everything was great from that point on. We were emailing, texting, talking on the phone, and seeing each other everyday for 6 weeks. Everything was great! then on a tuesday night everthing was going well, then the next day she told me that she was trying to work things out with her fiance and that she just wants to be friends.
This devistated me and like an idiot i poured my heart out to her. she said that it was very hard on her also but she felt this is what her heart was telling her to do. she made it very clear that this is how it was gonna be. I really do want her back but don't know how to go about it.. do i concede and be her friend or do i tell her that i want more and if i can't then we shouldn't talk for a while. her ex-fiance lives a state over and she only sees him 1 or 2 weekends a month and the rest of the time talks to him on the phone.
All i do is think about her everyday all day.. we both work for the same company and can email each other all day.. i try to fight and not email her, but i can never hold out all day. I am miserable and never want to do anything. i always end up 80% of the time inniciating contact with her.. she always responds but never starts the conversation. is this a sign? any help would be greatly appreciated.. please help...

Our Suggestion:
She has made it very clear that she is trying to work things out with her ex fiance.

If you want to stay friends then do it. That's your best shot if you ever want to get back with her.

Since her ex lives out of state, your chances are reasonably good. But keep in mind that if you push too hard you could be interfering with an existing relationship which is not a good idea.

Good luck! George
