Visitor's Question: Hello, there is this girl in my class, which I have had a crush on, but the problem was my friend liked her. He told her how he felt, and during this time, she and I became close. It started one day by me giving her a letter and now we are up to about the 12th letter or so. then even more to my amazement she asked for my phone number, she has rang me about 7-13 times and I have rang her twice...but I guess it's because I’m not really a phone person, but I always have things to talk to her on the phone. Now the basis of this is are these indications that she cares for me? Alternatively, just a friendship? When my friend liked her, she told me she did not want a boyfriend this year, which I surely respect and this is why I have not told her how I felt. And I have seen her in class looking at me and so have several friends. However, the thing is I do not want to mistake anything and ruin our friendship. Any help would be grateful. Our Suggestion: It's probably safe to say she likes you. You are stuck in the usual situation of worry that you will lose your friendship if you tell her that you care. Try this... tell her you are "developing feelings" for her. This gives her the idea without being offsetting. She can then answer with her feelings. If she doesn't share your feelings right now, you can tell her that it isn't that important because your feelings were just starting to grow. Good luck!
