How to Get My Ex Back

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I just broke up with my b/f a week ago, after dating for 3 mos. From the beginning, he was always in contact with his ex, whom he insisted they were only friends. I asked him if he wanted to date others, and he said...no, only you. A few wks ago, I stayed @ his apt while he was out of town and found women's clothes there. I confronted him about it and he told me they were for his ex, left over from their relationship and he'd been meaning to call her to come get them. A week later, they were still there, but some of them had been replaced with new ones. We went out for the 4th of July, and he ended up having a txt. msg marathon with her in front of me. I questioned him about it and at first he denied it, then confessed and apologized for being rude. The final straw was when I saw her car at his house at 10PM on a Sunday nite, and all the lights were off except the TV light in his bedroom. I broke up with him the next day because I think they're sleeping together, even though he insists they're not and they're only friends. When I initially broke up with him, I didn't give him any details. I then sent him an email and told him that I saw her car at his house. He told me that he needed some space to figure things out. I haven't talked to him since then (3 days), but I know that he spent the weekend with her. I want him back so badly, but only if he cuts off all contact with his ex. He says that he would never date her again, that she has a very negative attitude, his whole family hates her, and they only dated for approx. 3 months before he met me. What do I do to get him back???

Our Suggestion:
He seems to go out with women for three months and then switches.

First he was with her for three months, then with you for three months, now he's back with her so wait three months and he will be back with you.

Seriously, though he seems to hop back and forth too much. A good thing to do is to remain friends with him and hope for a new igniting of your embers.

Probably the best advice (which you didn't ask for) is to dump him.

Good luck! George
