Visitor's Question: I have liked Thomas for about 2 years and he doesn't really like me and my bestfriend also likes him and we fight over him constantly and my whole dance team teases me and only me about him. I have a plan at nationals to corner him and tell him that he is sweet and i really like him and stuff and then hug, and kiss his cheek i don't know how he will react, should i go with the plan or what also how do i get him to like me? Our Suggestion: No no, never corner someone!! A relationship is about full trust and faith in another person. If you leap on him like a rabid tiger, fear and uncertainty will probably be his reactions. He doesn't want to be treated like an object! He wants to be able to CHOOSE YOU out of his own volition. If he feels like you are *forcing* him into a decision he is likely to say no just because nobody likes to be forced into anything. The key to any great relationship is friendship. If you show him you can be trusted and respected and liked as a friend, the rest is likely to develop naturally. But if you show him you are out to grab him like a trophy prize, he is likely to find someone else that he CAN be friends with and really care about. So start talking with him more often. Nothing serious, just show him you are fun to talk with and spend a little time with. As the days go by, talk with him more and more, and find the topics he loves to talk about. Every guy has a few. If he is having fun talking about things he loves to talk about, he will look forward to talking with you. Study up on his favorite topics so that you can talk about these things with him.
