Visitor's Question:
I have had feelings for this one guy at my highschool. It all started when he sat across from me at lunch and looked at me. At first I thought his eyes must have been wandering around because I never seen him before. We didnt have any classes. Well, I started to recognize him in the halls. We would pass eachother, and just look at one another. We pretty much would say "Hi" through our eyes. When I looked, his eyes just twinkled at me and I melted. I think he likes the fact that I play hard to get..but the problem is he does to. We both do. Then this year...I asked God the day before school started and I said, "If we are meant to be then he will be in some of my classes." Well he was in any on the first day...then on the second he finally showed at my last period. Isnt it ironic? He first talked to me..but we only have few sentenced conversations. Partly its my fault because Im scared, and sometimes I say things to him which might confuse him but it's only because he confuses me. Sometimes I dont know whether he's into me. He hasnt said Hi directly to me...but he'll say hey class when I and only a few girls were in it. He's shy and so am I. Please don't tell me to go up and talk to him..i have talked to him just never really introduced myself. We have different group of friends and we are in two different worlds. I have never had a bf..I'm to picky and protective. How can I open up to him.Im sure he has caught me staring. The problem is, I dont sit near him. One time the class had to sit in different seats..and he sat in mine..he said something but i didnt say anything back because I was mad at him. Mad because I felt that he was giving mixed signals.

Our Suggestion:
Well, you are going to have to get off your rear if anything is going to happen.

Start greeting him by looking him in the eyes, saying in a clear voice "Hi" plus his name, and giving him a big smile. Do this until it becomes comfortable and you will naturally start to say more and interact more.

Being picky and standoffish is going to get you nowhere with him or any other guy. Guys generally like happy, fun girls. And vice-versa. Smile!!

Good luck! George
