Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
MY EX GIRLFRIEND OF 9 MONTHS BROKE UP WITH ME ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO. FOR 2 WEEKS, WE STILL ADMITTED TO EACH OTHER THAT WE LOVED EACH OTHER.THEN OUT OF NOWHERE SHE HAD FEELINGS FOR THIS GUY AND VICE VERSA.THEY NEVER REALLY WORKED OUT. BUT I STILL CONTINUED TO SHOW FEELINGS FOR HER AND SHE DIDNT WANT TO HEAR IT. SO SHE ENDED UP BREAKING ALL COMMUNICATION B/W US FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF. THEN OUR WHAT WOULD'VE BEEN 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAME, AND WE STARTED TALKING AS FRIENDS AGAIN.IM HAPPY THAT ME AND HER ARE FRIENDS NOW, BUT I STILL WANT HER BACK. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT NOW SHE IS STARTING TO DEVELOP FEELINGS FOR A NEW GUY AND SO IS HE.WE'VE HUNG OUT ONCE SO FAR AFTER BEING FRIENDS AGAIN AND DURING THAT TIME I'VE SHOWED HER THAT I REALLY HAVE CHANGED.BUT I WANT TO FIND WAYS OF GETTING HER TO HAVE STRONGER FEELINGS FOR ME OVER THE NEW GUY, EVEN THOUGH SHE CLAIMS THAT SHES "OVER US". WHAT CAN I DO TO HAVE HER DEVELOP FEELINGS FOR ME AGAIN?

Our Suggestion:
Make yourself attractive to her.

Be communicative (share information), be compassionate (share feelings), and be affectionate (compliments, hugs, etc). This will build up trust and caring in both of you.

Take care of yourself. Dress well, take care of your grooming (hair, nails, teeth), keep up to date on the news, read a book, volunteer at a soup kitchen (or whatever), make a donation (no matter how small) to a charity, pump iron. The list goes on... all of these will make you a more attractive and interesting person.

Work to become her best friend but don't overdo it or she will probably be put off by what you are doing.

Good luck! George
