Visitor's Question:
I haven't been on here in a while, but I'll keep it breath. Me and my ex have been apart for over 1 1/2 years. Never seeming to actually stop talking to each other. She seems to be stubborn and therefore, I choose not to tell her whats on my mind. What caused the break up was impatientness and the fact that there was an std involved in the relationship. I never cheated and neither did she. It could have been dormant, but it came out so well fell for a very short while. We started back along great and things were fine. Things started to slowly slip away. She seemed to be coming more distant and I seemed to be chasing. Through all of this we still managed to talk. Sh blamed me for alot of things and she had a lot of regrets but she still talked to me. Through all the bs we been through, we're still talking and stuff. She is not much of a talker with me on the phone. She manages to get more things out via email than the phone.
I love her very deeply and I wan tto let her know what she means to me and also to let her know I want her back in my life. She sometimes has a cold heart. It seems as though shes encouraged by others to things. She know she be wrong the way she talk to me, but she'll talk to someone else about it and call me back and say you were right and that we both have things to fix. Is there any hope of us rekindling a flame that I feel still burns deep within the both of us? We don't talk that much on the phone, is that also a problem? E-mail is the way we do things. I don't want to feel as though I have a pen pal. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Our Suggestion:
You should be trying to get more face-to-face time with her.

Ask her out to a nice restaurant (pay for her babysitter), and have a great time. Tell her you know she is busy or you'd ask her out every week. Then say that you'd like to go out every other weekend. Tell her all this after dinner on the ride home.

She should be happy to get a break from the ordinary and if there is any hope for your relationship, this will bring it out in the open.

Don't expect too much, after all you've been separated for 1.5 years.

Good luck! George
