Visitor's Question:
I have been best friends with my ex boyfriend every since I was 14 years old and now Im 18 and he is 19. We was going out together for 3 years and we broke up a little over 2 months ago. We talk on the phone every day for like ten minutes and I still go to his house sometimes. I tried to ask him back out but the only answer that I get from him is that he doesnt want to talk about it right now, dont worry about it or the only thing that he is focused on is getting his money. We have a cell phone plan together and since it was under his name I thought that he would turn off my phone but he pays his bill and mine every month. We have some of the same friends and when I see them they tell me that he still talks about me and tell them that he still cares for me, they said that they thought that we was the perfect couple and thuought that we will never break up. The reason that he gave me that we broke up was that I was childish and that I use to call him too much, I admitt that I did call him to much and I have have stoped, the most I call him is once a day. I asked him do he have a girlfriend and he says no. I cant understand why he is taking so long? He always make excusses to see me like for example to burn a cd when he got a new computer for Chrismas and his friend burns cds for free. Did I change enough for him to take me back, is he scared that Im going to start the same thing when we start dating agian? I need some help to see what I am still doing wrong.

Our Suggestion:
Tell him you will call him once a week for 15 min just to see how he is doing.

This will tell him that you are not the same person who called him too much and show that you have grown up some. If he wants to talk more than 15 min, remind him that you should hang up but that if he wants to talk longer then you will.

You should also offer to pay for your part of the phone bill, once again showing him your maturity.

Good luck and Happy New Years! George
