Visitor's Question:
Iīve been having a long distance relationship with this very nice man. We dated for three month in his country then my job related stay ended and I had to return to my country. We have kept in contact through e-mail and phone. Itīs me who has phoned mostly. And he came to visit me once to my own country and we met again in England few months after. Last month has been a little bit hectic for me and it happened when he called me and I had the cell phone disconnected. I tried to connect with him and when I finally got I asked if he wanted me to spend a couple of weeks or a month he began to say that
he had so many things to do but finally I got him to confess he was thinking about dating other people. I know that ours is really a very diffcult relationship and I cared about not placing many expectations about it, but I think at least Iīm due a nice break-up letter, if only to put a closure and beginning a mourning process. On the other hand Iīm coming back to the city where we met this summer for a job related long stay, so I wouldīnt spoil the chances to retake the relationship , that is, I donīt feel like breaking up yet,. If there is anyone to breakup it should be him, because is him who is thinking about dating other people.

Our Suggestion:
Tell him you will be returning in the summer and that you would like a shot at taking up with him again.

Meanwhile he can date who he pleases.

Tell him you will phone or email once every two weeks just to see how he is doing and keep in contact.

This isn't an ideal solution for you, but perhaps what you will have to settle for.

Good luck! George
