Afraid of Commitment

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Just for a base story my now ex and I had a great time being together for a few months. When the conversation came up to about what we should do now she didn't want to take the next step but still wanted to be with me. Of course I wanted to be with her, so it was hard for me to deal with and I kept the relationship going for another month. Then I broke it off with her, because of that fact and she wasn't really showing that she wants to put enough time to make the commitment and for us to be together. If someone is gun shy or afraid of commitment is she worth leaving any hope for in the future? I plan on getting over her and meeting other people, but do you think she would ever come around? I know after two months since the break up that she is now dating another guy, but how much of a chance is there that she would want to try again and take the next step?

Our Suggestion:
She didn't want to make a commitment with you.

She has a new boyfriend.

It's been two months.

Although your guess is much better than mine, my advice is to forget her.

Good luck! George
