Visitor's Question:
hi and well i know this is a romance site, but i think u guys could help me. well here it is.....

i had unprotected sex with my ex on feb.19, and weeks later i found out she was pregnant, but here's my question: she starded her perion on feb.2 and probably ovulated the 16th, so is it possible that she got pregnant after having sex a few days later after ovulation? im asking this because she has a bf and she told me she had sex with him feb.14(on valentine's) and i told her that if it was mine then well i will be responsible, to what she responded me that she doesnt wanna talk to me ever again and to leaver alone cuz the baby aint mine, but then she goes and tells her brother that she doesnt know who the father might be and that she will let me know when the baby is born (i get along with her brother, so he told me this) i know the best way to find out is a DNA test whe it's born, but i just wanted to stay calm for now.... another fact is that when she finally went to the doctor, they told her she was 8 weeks pregnant and that the fetus was 6 weeks old at that precise moment, which was the same amount of weeks ago(6 weeks) when we had sex.....this question reminded me of the one i read long time ago from another guy having the same problem right here in this website, that's why i think u guys could help me......

Our Suggestion:
Yes, I remember exactly that earlier question from a guy in the same situation.

Bottom line is ... if you want to know one way or the other you have to have a DNA test as you suggested. No amounted of calculating and guessing will help in this case.

As I mentioned to the other guy who wrote, if you want to go through this testing and it turns out to be your child, you will be liable whether you like it or not, financially and emotionally to the baby for at least 18 years. If you are willing to accept that responsibility then go for it. But since the mother doesn't want to have anything to do with you, you might think twice about it.

Good luck! George
