She said I don't love you anymore, what do I do now?

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Thanks for the previous advice, It seemed to work well but today I went to talk to her, because she had told me Thursday that she needed some sort of guarantee that what had happen before (me treating her aggressively) wouldn’t happen again. I thought about it and went to her house to tell her that the fact that I had change for the better, that she had noticed the improvement and that she had told me that I was acting once again as the man she fell in love with, that those things were proof of my commitment to be better for her (for myself too, I needed to change that part of me). And to tell her that I promise to her to never again act that way and that I would never intentionally hurt her (I also told her that that was the most a man, any man, could promise her, because if someone would promise her that he would never hurt her intentionally or unintentionally, that man would be lying). With those two things I thought she would have her guarantee, but she said “It’s not a guarantee that I need, I just don’t love you anymore, not the same way I did before, I care for you, I desire you, I feel protected next to you, I miss you when you’re away, and you mean a lot to me, but I don’t love you. I want to be alone now. right now I want to be by myself”. So with that I told her that I would leave her alone then, we hugged and I told her “I love you” and left.
When I got home, I eliminated her from my Live Messenger list. But now I don’t know what to do, all I can think of is that I should just go on with my life and hope that being apart from me will make her miss me and realize she wants to be with me, but your web page says I should try to keep in contact with her, but now I can’t, what should I do? Please help me.

Our Suggestion:
Not all situations are the same.

In your case, my advice is to forget about her since she has made it clear that she does not love you. If she contacts you then you can take up with her again if you want to.

Good luck! George
