Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Hi My gf broke up with me about 2 mths ago during Xmas, after 4.5 yrs, everthing was good except from time to time.Talked about getting married.she told all her friends that I was the one. having kids like we were already married.Had gotten over age difference. our families were like one. She started a new job and had some mental issues and stays real moody just about deserted her family and friends. She said she was tired of waiting on a commitment and/or needed some space. but I think she wanted to explore she's 26 and I am 36.She said something just snapped after her last breakdown. Stayed with her through this one and 2 or 3 previous. I've tried the no contact method for a while she did contact me and now we talk once in a while. so I still have connection with her family.all good. When we talk. I talk confident and we just find out what been going on.
I care for her more now than I ever have and she knows this. She told me she has this feeling in her gut that want go away as I do 24/7. It feels like we are in the same boat.
I feel like I need to go tell her how I feel and tell her why I think the relationship in my opinion went bad. I want her back so bad but I might need to give her her space.
Do you have any suggestions. Thanks

Our Suggestion:
She said she wants a commitment or some space.

If you are ready, why not offer the commitment first and see how she reacts. If she accepts then hopefully things will be fine. Otherwise she can have the space.

She has been with you since she was 21 and that is the age when a lot of people (especially women) feel the need to spread their wings and try out the world. If she never got this chance, that may be the reason she needs space now.

Sounds like you have a good thing going. Try one approach or the other and see what develops.

Good luck! George
