He DID want me, but he shifted again.

Visitor's Question:
So, I had this guy who really liked me, and really swept me off my feet without me even knowing it. After a while, he'd sort of left off and wasn't being the guy I'd known, I got scared and became needy for him, and he broke it off. He ran back to another ex of his, Hailey. Hailey and I had become VERY good friends and because she did not want him back, she tries to talk me up to him (they've been good friends for a number of years, and he will always listen to her) and he starts to bite and want to hang around me again, but after a while, he quits calling me up just to talk, he still asks Hailey to get us all to hang out but all direct contact with me stops.

One night, I tried calling up a mutual friend of ours not knowing they were out together and make him angry/jealous. He calls me being a jerk and lies telling me to quit 'bugging' this friend (who is another guy). Later that night, I confront him about him treating me this way and we sort argue and 'go to bed angry'. Well, the next time I see him, he's still nice- flirty even. Flirty is in his nature, but I still get the comment that we act like we're still together. People constantly tease me about his being my bofriend. However, even though he's still flirty with me, he begins to go back to Hailey, telling her how bad he wants her again. Hailey has dated him many times, but she doesn't want him this time... she's told him that many a times.

Will he get tired of her rejection? And since he's still on good terms with me, do I have a shot of winning him back if he does?

Our Suggestion:
Yes he will get tired of her rejection unless he is a glutton for punishment.

So, since you and he still get along well there is a reasonable chance that you can get back with him.

Just continue to be his friend and be flirty. Don't be clingy or needy, just friendly.

Good luck! George
