I want my boyfriend back!

Suggest Advice

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
Look...me and my ex were so perfect together.....i kinda feel responsible for us breaking up...but he has a big part to do with it also. Well I don't care about the past and the bad stuff....I just want him back....the thing is...he is with this girl and he really dosen't have feelings for her..and it's obvious...but when I tried to talk to him...and when I called him...he just pushes me of...

I'm not going to take no for an answer.....so what can I do to get him back...please help!

Our Suggestion:
The most important thing to do when trying to get a boyfriend back is to be REALISTIC. You say you were perfect together but obviously you weren't, if there was "bad stuff" back then. He knows it, you know it. So if you try to just barge back into his life he's going to remember all that bad stuff and have no desire to repeat that all over again.

The most important thing you can possibly have in any relationship is honest. You need to show him that you KNOW things were not good before, but that if you both work at things they CAN be really good. That you are willing to make the effort and that the result will be well worth the work that you both will do.

You also have to show him that you care about him as a person. That you're just not after having him "as a boyfriend again". That you want to be happy, that you want HIM to be happy and that you think that together you can be great friends and a truly happy couple.

but primarily work on being his best friend and on showing him that you have an HONEST outlook on what went wrong before and how to address it. If you can do those two things, you have a chance.
