He was trying to get rid of me

Visitor's Question:
This is a follow up to 'Pain and Suffering'.

I sent my boyfriend (Well ex boyfriend now) an email explaining about things, During the day I sent him the email he was in a bad mood. He didn't tell me why and he didn't speak to me for the rest of the day.

Next day I asked him to read my email, and after a moment I started to explain why I sent it before he stopped me and said it wasn't because of that. Apparently he told me my mistakes and he said it wasn't going to work out because of my mistakes. I was upset enough to know all that at the last minute. He said it wouldn't make any difference if he had told me earlier (To me it will make some difference since I will fix my mistakes) and he needs someone more experienced (In relationships) than me. Which wasn't fair because almost no one gives me a chance to develop my experience in relationships.

Over the next few days I told one of my friends, who is also his friend about the situation. And she told me the truth, which made me feel betrayed and even more upset. She said that my ex was trying to get rid of me for a while, he was waiting for me to get bored and leave him like other people. But 'I clung on tighter' in his opinion (I sent him the texts to let him know I care about him deeply) and he said that I was immature and too clingy (Immature is something I can adjust, I can be more mature than I am and The clingyness I can't control no matter what I do). He told told her not to tell me cause I was 'Getting on his nerves and he was waiting for me to leave him'

So at the moment it generally sucks. After all he and I went through and what we did. I feel so angry at
1. Him because he if wanted to get rid of me he could have broken up with me earlier
2. At myself for the simple mistakes I even made and I should have think before I say anything stupid which could cause the mistakes.

If that wasn't any worse. My so called friend at college wasn't much help. In fact, I am seperated from my real friends cause they're at different colleges. And this lass expects me to tell her anything, when I just want to talk to my actual friends about it. I just told her me and my boyfriend had split up, and what does she do? Maul around with her boyfriend not noticing me and goes on things as if it's naffing normal.

At the moment I'm sorting things out for myself to move on and to settle on permenant friendship with my ex boyfriend. But it's a bit tricky at the moment.

Our Suggestion:
Life is strange and difficult.

You are very good at understanding yourself and your relationships. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that this relationship is going to work out. Your idea of being his friend is a very good one and will free you to find someone else to be your boyfriend. You deserve to have lots of pleasure in your life and what you have learned from this will make you stronger and also make you more mature and less clingy.

Best wishes,
George
