She still loves me but needs time

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
My gf and I have been together fro 7 months and were deeply in love w/ each other. We never argued and always had a great time together. About 2 weeks before she decided that she needed some time we did not get to spend much quality time together alone. We were both stressed out from work and other things going on in ourr lives. One night she comes home and says that she is moving nack in with her parents b/c she needs some time. Before all of this we were both thinking about marriage, but didn't discuss it. I hinted around to her that I wanted to spend my life with her and was planning on suprising her by asking her to marry me exaclty one month after she decided to leave. We still talk a few minutes a day and she tells me she loves me. I have expressed the feelings that I have for her through words and letters. She says she is stressed and needs to figure things out on her on. I just don't know what else to do. We spent every minute together, showed that we loved one another and were both wanting to get married and now I don't know what is going to happen or what else I can do to get her back. Any advice would be appreciated. Do I move on with my life or keep trying? I want to keep trying, but don't want to push my luck. Thanks.

Our Suggestion:
You need to make it clear to her that you respect her need to take time to think things over. But, at the same time you need to let her know that you love her and want to marry her. That puts the ball in her court and that is not pushing your luck, just being open and honest with her. You don't have to ask her to marry you but say you thought marriage was in your future.

It is better to be strong in you movements than weak.

I hope this works out for you. George
