Visitor's Question:
I met a woman at work who had a child with someone and was living with him. After a couple of months working together we developed stong feelings for each other but i told her i couldn't have a relationship with her if she was with him so she ended it with him and we got together. At first things were great, she would constantly try getting her ex to leave the house but she owed him money for the mortgage which she never had at the time so he wouldn't go until he got it. over time the strain of him being there got too much, she started feeling guilty that the child wouldn't have the dad around and he would bad mouth me often dispite not knowing me. she said she loved him but was not in love with him but me and after 8 months i broke it off with her and told her to go back to him. she got angry and did, however, a week later she was telling me she had made a mistake and wanted me back but she didn't have the strength to end it with him again at that time, i got angry and said some nasty things i didn't mean. i tried apologising but she changed her num and e mail, i don't know if she loves me too much to be in contact with me but can't or hates me now. it's been 9 months and everday and night i think of her and have stayed single, i'm a boxer and we always spoke about me going back for her in a few years as i had my own reasons which made us being together difficult also. she's become my motivation in the ring and i feel like i'm fighting for her back. Do you think it's worth the risk of waiting a few more years or just let go!!! i feel i'll always regret it if i don't but it eats away at me everyday and i can't imagine being with anyone else, she's the love of my life! thank you

Our Suggestion:
Never give up on the love of your life. It may take years or it may take forever, but you will always regret it if you give up. If it isn't meant to be, you will find someone new who means as much to you.

If you push too hard, it may not work out. Be patient and hope for the best.

Good luck! George
