Our Suggestion: All the signs are there that he likes you more than normal friendship but he is too shy to say so. But it is impossible to say whether he loves you. Here is something I recommend to shy people. Instead of directly telling him you love him and risking a friendship, tell him you are "starting to develop feelings" for him and ask him how he feels about that. If he agrees then everything is ok. If he says he thinks of you as a friend then you haven't risked your friendship. If you are too shy to do that, tell him you have a friend who is developing feelings for another guy but is too shy to tell him. You can tell by his advice how you should proceed.
