Persistent Ex Wants Me Back...?

Visitor's Question:
To summarize what happened, I broke up with a boyfriend I've dated for three months. The reason was simple: I enjoyed being single more than I enjoyed being in his company. So I called it off, seeing as I wanted some time to be an independent woman.

The problem is, he doesn't accept that very well. He's the kind of guy who's been dying to have a girlfriend, and I had been his first. He keeps on sending me long SMS telling me how much he misses me and how much he wants me back. He also has a way of forcing his wills onto people, and I am no exception. he's like a stalker of mine, it's creeping me out.

I'm sick and tired of him trying to tell me to be his girlfriend again, and he doesn't ever give up. The problem is that he's rather bipolar, and my circle of friends involve him in it.
If I push him away rather bluntly (which is what I've been dying to do), I know he's going to be a jerk to the rest of my friends and I. My friends don't want to get involved because they know he doesn't take a 'no' for an answer. And though I really want to punch him in the face, I'll get in trouble for doing so.

What should I do? I've coped up with this madness for way too long, and I really want him to stop. But he doesn't ever stop, and I don't know what would make him.

Our Suggestion:
You may first try to talk to his parents, or have your parents talk to his. If he becomes a real nuisances, the law is on your side. Tell him you're going to tell your parents and that they'll get a restraining order against him. Stalking is against the law.
