My Current GF or my Ex

Visitor's Question:
My ex girlfriend is head over heals about me, now that I've moved on from her. She knows that I just want to remain friends until later in life when we MIGHT get along. She still wants me as a b.f. I said no, cause I'm with a new girl now.

I've moved on but still have the special feelings for my ex. I'll admit it I am still in love with her, things just didn't work for us and I called it off. My current girlfriend and I are still 2 1/2 months into it. Is that enough time to feel the love? I did with my ex but not with my current girlfriend!? why is that?

we are getting futher and futher into it, and getting closer to having sex. It almost happend one night, but I said no. I use to love my ex so much, I just couldn't get enough of her (BEFORE), but now that it is the other way around! Do I need to give love sometime?

Our Suggestion:
Never, ever try to compare one girl to another. EVERY girl is different, every situation is different. There is no way to say "I felt this way after 3 months with Girl #1, I should therefore feel the same way after 3 months with Girl #2". In fact, you may feel MUCH STRONGER about girl #2 if you give it an appropriate amount of time.

Obsession with a girl does not equate to love. it can easily be that you were obsessed with someone else for the wrong reasons - but that you are now falling in love with your current girlfriends for the RIGHT reasons. Give yourself time, and don't persue "timetables". Don't get swayed by exs who suddenly decide now that you're "forbidden fruit" that you're exciting. Instead, focus 100% on the girl you have a commitment with. You will find it is well worth it.
