She's Taken, I'm Flirting

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I met this girl in one of my classes at school. She is very bright and fun to be around. We talk alot and seem to get along just fine. One day I asked her to "hang out" with me and we had a nice time shopping and having dinner. I thought we had alot of fun.

The worst part came when we were going home and I asked her if she had a boyfriend and she responded with a yes. She has been seeing him in a long distance relationship for 3 years. You can imagine the dissapointment i felt at that point.

Of course i would like to be in a romantic relationship with her, but I do not want to "break " up her relationship with her other boyfriend...i want to be there as a friend and support her....but what i want to know is this:

--- Do you think she knows that I "like" her?

--- How do i show her that I really really really like her? What can i say (any flirting ideas?) or do?

--Like i mentioned before, i dont want to push her at all in breaking up with the other guy....if she is happy with him, than so am i as long as she is happy....but I just want her to really "know" that i do LIKE her....how can i achieve that?

Our Suggestion:
I think it's fairly obvious to her that you like her, given that you guys are spending that much time together! It is completely up to her to decide whether she wants to continue her long distance relationship or give it up for a local relationship with you. I would NOT push her in any way because if you do you will be "to blame" for the rest of your life any time you have even the smallest fight. So I would be there, be a friend, be a shoulder, and let her make her decision. There's no reason for you to do anything "special" to flirt to show you care. You show it just by spending time with her.
