Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I've been interning at this place where there is an after school program. My suprvisor is around my age give or take two or three years. He flirted with me and i in turn flirted with him one thing lead to another and now i feel really guilty about going out with him and kissing him, we did not sleep with one another but it was pretty close to.

I feel guilty because I am engaged and my supervisor does not know he just thinks that i am in a relationship but not that it's as serious as it is. what do i do in order to let my supervisor off the love hook?!

Our Suggestion:
I have to say that cheating isn't about "going all the way" - cheating is about being sexual in any way with another guy. So you really have to take a hard look at what you were doing and ask yourself WHY you allowed yourself to take any of those actions with another guy while you had a responsibility and commitment to act honorably to your fiance. You have made a life-long vow to prepare to marry and support your fiance for many decades. But you couldn't spend a few months waiting for the event to actually happen before you honored that?

It really sounds like maybe you gave in to the marriage for reasons I can't begin to imagine but you were / are not READY for that. Being married is about a lifelong, serious, trustworthy commitment to another person to be 100% honest, faithful, dependable. You need to tell your fiance what happened, he deserves to know. What if you got a STD by kissing this other guy?? You have to tell your supervisor and apologize ... and then you have to take a honest, soul-searching look at what you really want out of life. It's ok if it isn't marriage right now! But you have to HONESTLY admit that instead of hurting more men than the 2 you have already hurt.

If you just want to date, then date! And have fun. But you shouldn't be betraying trusts of those who believe in you.
