A Week of Love Suggest Advice Do you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: i have recently met the love of my life we were only dating a week and he confessed he loved me. Well the night before thanksgiving his ex girlfriend had his baby. every since then its been almost 3 weeks since ive seen him and havent heard from him much i havent recieved a call from him in a week or two. He didnt return my calls when i called him for a week straight. when we finally talked he was quiet. i havent called him. I want him to call me but he hasnt. i fear he doesnt want me anymore. I cry daily. I want to talk to him badly but im scared to call and ask him do u want me still? he is the one who took my virginity as well i love him help me Our Suggestion: I know it feels really strong and powerful, but real love doesn't just appear in a week. That's the rush and hormones of lust taking control. Real love is about building up a friendship, knowing each other inside and out, knowing the good AND bad about each other. It's about trust and communication. Instead, it appears that as soon as a bump in the road appeared, your boyfriend cut and run and avoided your calls. That's about the opposite of communication. If it was meant to be, you guys really need to sit down IN PERSON and talk about this situation. A relationship is not about running away when there's trouble. It's about facing it together. If you guys really are going to build a relationship that turns INTO love, you will have to face this as the first of many hurdles in your life. No relationship is ever smooth. On the other hand, if he really does run off like this, you should count yourself lucky that it was only after a week. Yes, it'll hurt. You'll be sad. We all are when our relationships break up. But EVERYBODY has at least one breakup in their life at some point. This is something we all go through.
