The spouse asks me if my friend is having an extramarital affair. Do I tell the truth? Our Suggestion: It always sucks to be aware of someone who is lying and cheating no matter what the topic is. It is incredibly unfair for them to expect you to back up their lying and deceit. Tell your best friend that you cannot support her lies any further, that she owes it to her husband to be honest. Tell her it is unfair for her to expect you to keep lying and that you will tell the truth if asked.
