Visitor's Question:
when i first met this boy i really did not feel him at the point but then 2 weeks into the relationship i really knew that this boy was the one that i was really in love with. during the time of our realtionship we had some up's and down's to the point that we would just brake up and get back together. but in our current realtionship i think he have actually filled a place in my heart to the point i really want him to take my virginity.

he has ask me throughout the realtionship and i would always respond with NO. because i wasnt ready now that i am ready we really plan on doing it at this time but my question for you is do you really think i need to do this after all i am really in love

Our Suggestion:
First, have you really done everything up to that final act? There SO many ways to please each other, with your hands, mouth, everything else. You can spend years and years learning each others bodies and doing new things every day without ever having to actually have intercourse. If you just leap over all that other stuff, you miss out on a LOT that you will never fully appreciate later on.

Also, remember that every act of sex carries a risk of pregnancy. Even if you use a condom, there is still a risk. You must ALWAYS use condoms every time to be at least partially safe, but you are never fully safe. So if you and your boyfriend are both 18 and prepared for that chance, then it's something to keep in mind. But if you are younger than that, you need to think very seriously about this. Like I said, there are tons of ways to bring pleasure to each other. Many women don't even get pleasure from actual intercourse - they get far more pleasure from the other intimate acts. So there's no need to rush into this. If you got pregnant, that's a serious change to your life that is a solid commitment for the next 20 years of your life at least. It's well worth putting off intercourse for a few years until you're truly ready for that.
