Visitor's Question:
5 years ago I started to like this guy. He seemed to like me, but then he said that his friends didn't think I should go out with him becuase I was to tall for him. After that he started playing a game or something where he would say stuff like I rater die then date you ect. We were only about 12 at the time.

One day I couldn't handle it anymore so I told him I like someone else. He seemed really said and I felt bad.

Now were in high school and a few weeks ago I called him and he wasn't home so I left a messege. He didn't call me back and his friend said that he wan'ts me to so I did and he wasn't home again so I gave up. Also the first Monday back when I called him he didn't eat I really didn't get that part because he's a guys and there usally really cool about that sort of stuff.

Now its been about a week or so and hes been haging with this other girl and it seem as if they may be going out. Hes been off and on staring at me and he really hasn't been eating like he used to actually he hasn't ate at all. I just was wondering if I should go for him are give him up. I am starting to feel like I'm in love with him and am starting to worry about him and all.

Our Suggestion:
It's always dangerous to say "all guys do this" or "no guys do that". Every one of us is a human being who has our own motivations and desires. You need to think about this guy as an individual who does things for his own reasons. Don't just say "he's a guy" and therefore he should act a certain way.

If you want to spend time with him, then do it! Life is too short to see someone slip away because you wanted to wait and get him to come to you first. Take action. Go chat with him in school. Try calling him again at home. Find out his email address. He's staring at you, and obviously based on the other things that are going on he's interested in you. You need to make that connection before he decides you're not interested in him, and moves on.
