I AM HAVING AN INTENSE AFFAIR WITH A MARRIED MAN


Lately my husband and I have had little to no contact. We have a friend who is married as well (and he and his wife have a "rocky" relationship). He called one day and I was on the phone with him for like an hour. We started just talking "junk". He asked if he could see me privately. I said sure why not. I invited him over to my house when I knew that my husband would not be there and we ended up having sex. We have met several times since then, and he now is starting to play hard to get. I think that I am falling for him. What scares me is that he ALWAYS "leaves it in" when climaxing and now is he starting to distant himself. What should I do?



Our Suggestion:
You need to come to a decision on what you want, and then do it. You're facing pain either way, but at least you'll be able to sleep at night.

If you want to stay married, then you should put in all the effort in the world to get things back on track. And if you don't, then you should start divorce proceedings. This halfway state is just going to drive you crazy. I bet anything that the affair is driving your guy crazy as well, which is why he's distanced himself. He may be having guilty feelings and he may be wondering what he's gotten himself into. These are normal questions that people who cheat are forced to grapple with. Wouldn't you feel much better if you were free to date without all this subterfuge? All of this weight on you will be gone. You're facing a very difficult period of your life, no matter what you decide. But at the end of the work will be a new day where your life will be going in the direction you want it to. You just need to take the steps to get yourself there. And you have the courage and determination to make it work. It's just doing it... but just do it. You'll feel so much better.
