I was snooping in my boyfriend's dresser

Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
I was snooping in my boyfriend of 2 yrs dresser and found out he was seeing other women and had lied to me on numerous occassions about many things.
He told me he had a golfing event for the holiday weekend. I found 2 tickets to a show in atlantic city for the same date while snooping in his dresser. (Where he loves to go on his spare time off) I bought 2 tickets to the same show 4 rows behind him to catch his view. I intend to approach him and say, " Babe! What are you doing here, I thought you had a business event, kiss him, introduce myself as his girlfriend of 2 yrs and that its a pity he and I lost the baby 2 months ago. Tell them to have a nice weekend and go back to my seat.
Or I was just going to see if he was with a woman -which I am sure of-wait a couple of days and as he tries to make love to me tell him I cant do this anymore I met someone else.
From your experience, how do men typically act with such confrontations.

Our Suggestion:
First off, there seems to be a breakdown in trust between the two of you. You were admittedly snooping in his dresser, and he's lying to you. If this relationship is going to succeed, it's important that the two of you confront the lies and sneaking and come clean and re-commit to the relationship. Otherwise, things will only go from bad to worse. You need to spend some time figuring out what you want the future to be like, and then work from there.

Second, you are having very normal fantasies of how to exact your revenge on him. What you need to do is figure out what you want to happen -- do you want to break up? Then decide how much you want to ruin his life and yours in the process. It may very well be that she knows all about you, and so you coming up to them will only lead to her to sneer in your face that she got your man. It could lead to quite an out-of-control scene.

Third, he may very well have a golfing tournament in the morning and have the evening free and will go with a coworker. He might have a real reason why he's going that doesn't involve cheating on you. It's a long shot, but it is a possibility.

This is certainly a really horrible situation that you're in, and you have my sympathies. I hope it all turns out for the best.
