Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
i was around my girlfriends last night, was having a great time and all, but all of a sudden we got talking about kids names. so in theory we were talking about wot wud me and her call our kidz, after listing a few she seds, "well it dont matter coz it will never happen between me and u" i sed, "u never know" She seds "well it wouldnt happen and i think its unfair that i would only ever b with u" this nearly broke me in2. I told her that u shouldnt ever say that to the person u with and love, she sed sorry and begged my forgiveness but the damage has bn done. She told me that she misses being single and that she knows that shes not going to want to stay in one place all her life and for wot she wants to do shes gonna want 2 b alone for it. she wants to be an actress.

I thought that was it, thought we was over. but then she was all over me, kissing and hugging me she even got horny and she just kept talking like nothing happend. but like i sed think the damage is done, i dont think i love her anymore. i dont think i can b in a relationship where i am expecting a break up to happen all the time, i am putting so much effort in and its draining me. bare in mind this is a 2 and half year relationship

We were ment to b going out staurday for a pic nic and she is comming round saturday, i was honestly thinking about faking illness to get out of it and we r also planning an holiday to Germany. I do not know wot to do saturday, i don't think i can have a good time after hearing all that. I woke up this morning and i felt nothing. My brain is telling me to run but my heart is clinging on.

What shall i do?

Our Suggestion:
Sorry you are in this situation. I can understand why you feel the way you do. It seems to me that the picnic would be a perfect time for you and your girlfriend to have a long talk about how you feel. Honest communication is one of the most important aspects of a good relationship.

Keep in mind that breaking up can turn out to be a big mistake and a month from now you might be wishing you had her back and be miserable. My advice is to continue dating her and see what develops. You are in shock now and are not ready to make any lasting decisions. She may have had second thoughts about what she said too.

Best of luck,
George
