Needs more time together

Visitor's Question:
Hi, I've been with my boyfriend for a while now and as usual, we were unseparable but now, I only see him every 2 weeks or if I'm lucky every week. I really do love him and I want to be with him but it seems like he just does'nt have the time for me. I have asked him a couple of times when were we gonna spend the whole day together with no interuptions and it's always when I have a day off work. I am so tired of hearing that! Then he always wonders why I am mad at him all the time. He does'nt even call me, I have to call him and I'm lucky if he answers the phone. He also does'nt return my phone calls when I ask him to unless I leave an urgent message. It's always the same excuse " I'm at work." Sometimes I sit there and cry about it because I have been through so much these past 2 years and I just don't want to get hurt again but, he did promise me he won't ever hurt me. But when he does come to see me, he can't keep his eyes off me and he is very gentle and kind to me and I still get butterflies in my stomach when I see him. I'm trying my best to be patient but it's not easy if that person does'nt have the time to call you besides sending you text messages. Every time I try to talk to him about it, he just says stop whining and that just makes me even more angry. I have asked him was he interested in anybody else but he says no so, I believe him it's just hard to adjust to this type of relationship. I don't think he knows what to expect of me because I am very outspoken. He has asked me since the day we met when can we live together and will I marry him. And the answer is always yes. But at least he does tell me he loves me over and over while he's holding me in his arms. So, I guess that's the good part about our relationship. All I basically want from him is some more time together. Is that hard to do?

Our Suggestion:
It's not easy being in your situation. All I can suggest is that you come up with ideas for things to do when you know he isn't working. Don't get so angry because that will turn him off. Ask him if there is anything you can do to make him feel more comfortable with you. At least you have good quality time rather than a lot of mediocre time.

Good luck,
George

Happy holidays!
