Trouble having a baby leads to worries

Visitor's Question:
Ok here's my question and I wasn't sure what category to put it under so here goes. Do you think a married couple that had a hard time conceiving a child together (as in going to clincics and doing tests and all that stuff) would eventually put a strain on their sexual relationship thereafter? Here's an example; a couple is married for apprx. 9 years....after their first two years together they have a child. Five to six years later they try again but there are complications, and they find out that its mainly due to the woman. In the end they do suceed on having a second child. After all that.... is it possible that the couple's sexual relationship could be at a low? Maybe the woman isn't quite into it as much due to all her complications at not being able to concieve a child and the man becomes alittle more flirtier to other women because of it. Would the flirting be just flirting 'because' or would it have something to do with their marriage and the problems that they had to go through?? Thanks for your time, much appreciated!

Our Suggestion:
It's possible that the trouble having a second child has put a strain on the relationship. See a marriage or sex therapist and see if you can get to the bottom of this before it becomes a problem.

Good luck,
George
