Visitor's Question:
Should I ask him on a date? "Jordan" used to live by me from the moment we were born till sometime in elementary school. We live in a very small town, so we've always been in the same school with a class of 94 kids. So, anyways we've always been very flirty with each other and I've had, well more than a crush on him for years. Anyways I don't think he knows.

I know that physical chemistry wise we'd be great together, not sex wise, just body movement wise, you know? But, I don't know if he likes me as more than a friend or not. I want to ask him on a date but a. I don't want to be rejected, b. I don't want him to think I've gone insane and c. I don't want to look like a fool since I don't even know to what extent he likes me. Some of my friends say I should just ask him to go on a date but I don't know, well thanks for any advice you can give me.

Our Suggestion:
The best dates are always with people who are great friends, so it sounds like you've got the perfect start already! The trick is not to just *leap* into it, that can be scary for both of you. Instead, *slide* into it slowly so that you can both get used to the idea. That way if he balks at some point, you can just ease off without being embarassed or him getting bent out of joint.

I have a how-to on going from friend to girlfriend -

and with Valentine's Day coming up you have an even easier time of it. Give him a cute little gift as a friend, or even suggest that the two of you go out for pizza or something to celebrate your friendship. Don't make it into a mushy romantic thing, but just as a fun thing that good friends do to show they care for each other.

When you get into the habit of doing that together, you're already in essence going out, so at that point giving a hug or kiss at the end of the evening is 'normal' and you go from there!
