Visitor's Question:
My boyfriend and I have been going out for two years and two months. We just recently broke up two weeks ago and its really hurting me. We were getting into a lot of fights, but it wasnt about anything serious. He told me he just wanted to stop going out because he wasnt happy. He ignored me for the whole week in school. Then at the end of the week, he asked me to go to his house and it was like old times, like we never broke up. He hugged me and started crying, and i know he still cares for me. At the end of the night i knew we werent together, but i thought he still loved me and he would come back. Now he has been hanging out with a girl 4 years younger than him, its someone i know and that im sort of friends with. We still talk and hangout but not as often and he wont even look at me.. or if my hand happens to touch his he moves it fast. He told me he doesnt like this girl because shes too young, but theyve been hanging out a lot lately. Im trying to accept that he wants to be friends, and he says he has no feelings for me anymore, but i dont really believe him. Is he pushing me away or testing me or what? Im trying to improve myself and respect his decisions but i really want him back. Do you think with time hell want me back if i can improve and be his best friend??

Our Suggestion:
Yes, being his best friend is the answer.

You will have any opportunity to figure out how he is feeling instead of wondering or guessing. You will also get better feedback on what he likes and dislikes.

Finally, you will be nearby if he needs someone to talk to and share feelings with. That could lead towards romance again.

Good luck,
George
