Visitor's Question:
We have been married for five years, we have our own house, and we have 2 beautiful children. In order to get our marriage blessed in church we had to attend classes. While attending classes i found out my wife had kissed a instructor she had for bartending. 3 months later she kept going out to see a guy who had a motorcycle. at this time i started doing drugs to forget about the things she was doing, to me. my daughter just made 2 at this time. we talked about it and decided to work it out. we had our second child. after our first kid though, there was no passion in our relationship, she gave no affection, i had to beg her to make love. i thought she was cheating still so i continued to use drugs to calm the hurt. in doing so i became an addict. now she tells me she doesn't show me love because i'm an addict. and i find out she's talking to a coworker for hours on the phone. what i'm worried about is the kids. i'm getting help for my sickness (which i think a real wife would stand by my side through this)now. she has filed for divorce and i had signed the papers, but when i went to court i found out the divorce wasn't final. what kind of person is this? she is just spinning my mind and i can't take it. the thing is i thought she was my soul mate i loved her very much and i mean deep in love. that's why i'm so lost?

Our Suggestion:
Unfortunately, she is not your soulmate.

She continues to make mistakes in her life. She drove you to drugs (I am glad to hear you are working on that problem).

Your best bet is to wait until the divorce goes through and then work very hard to have a solid relationship with your kids. Meanwhile, look for a new woman to fill your life with joy. Be very careful after the experience you are having now. You will find your joy in your kids. This will keep you going. So, it is in your best interest to keep a good relationship with your wife no matter how hard it might be.

Sorry you are in this situation!
