Visitor's Question:
My ex Boyfriend and I broke up about two months ago. We experienced a relationship together like no other. We were completely in love. Right before reaching 1yr and 9months together, he told me that one night when he was supposed to be studying, he wasn't studying. His friend came over to the house and asked him to go with him to see his girlfriend b*. My ex obliged and went with him. Well his firend's girlfriend just so happens to be his ex girlfriend's little sister. That night he hung around her and they ended up kissing. He told me he knew it was wrong, but at the same time, it felt so right. Now, we are separated and he is back with his ex girlfriend. He seems happy, but I don't know. We shared a wonderful two years together. I miss him so very much. I have been trying to move on, but everything I think about goes back to us. His excuse for us ending things was that we were fighting too much, but when really nothing changed those last few months. What do you think he is thinking right now? When he used to speak of her, he only had bad things to say about her, but now he finds himself falling for her again? I don't get it. Is there anyway we could have a chance again? We had a wonderful relationship. I loved his family and he loved mine. Everything felt great until this happened. Our parents even thought we would get married. It came as a complete and utter shock! Help me to understand. I am clueless. I am going off to college but well being staying at home. He on the other hand will be in high school one more year. Was I too serious for him, that he got scared and left? He has to miss something about me,right? Thanks, so confused.

Our Suggestion:
My advice is to let him go.

It has already been two months since you broke up and there is no sign that he will change his mind.

You are probably psychologically near the point of acceptance to let him go, but your emotions are trying for one last chance when there probably is no more chance.

When you go to college you will meet scads of new guys so look at the positive side. Don't get into a rebound relationship this summer. If you want to go out with some guy try not to make it too serious. It is too early for you to make a good decision.

I hope things turn out ok for you!
